T20 World Cup 2024
The much-anticipated ninth edition of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup is set to take place from 1st to 29th June 2024, co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States. This will mark the inaugural inclusion of ICC World Cup matches being played in the US, with a total of 16 matches scheduled to be held in Lauderhill, Dallas, and New York. The remaining matches will be played in Barbados, Guyana, Antigua & Barbuda, Trinidad & Tobago, St Vincent & the Grenadines, and St Lucia.
The tournament will feature 20 teams, divided into four groups of five. The top two teams from each group will advance to the Super Eight phase, and the top two teams from each Super Eight group will progress to the semi-finals. The final will be held in Barbados on 29th June.
Defending champions England are in Group B with Australia, while hosts West Indies are in Group C with New Zealand. The opening match will be played between co-hosts USA and Canada in Dallas, Texas. The group stage matches will take place from 1st to 18th June, followed by the Super Eight phase from 19th to 24th June. The semi-finals will be held in Guyana and Trinidad on 26th and 27th June respectively.
